MealsOnDisk 2.10 Changes

  • Meal charges can now be charged in advance rather than in arrears

Previously, charges could only be applied in arrears. Now, there are several options for when charges are applied to client accounts. You can still choose which day of the week charges are added, but you can now choose which charges are included. Charges can be included up to:

    • Delivery day
    • End of previous week
    • End of delivery week
    • End of following week
    • Previous day next week
    • Same day next week

For example, if charging in advance, you may choose to apply charges on Mondays, up to the end of that delivery week. Or you may want to apply charges each Friday, up until the end of the following week. This can be a little confusing so let us know if you need help setting it up. If you do not change these options, it will continue to work in arrears as it did previously.
  • Holidays can be entered to prevent delivery or payment in advance on these days

    • A list of holiday dates can be entered and a short description of the holiday (eg 25 Dec 2006 Christmas Day)
    • When deliveries are processed, these days will be ignored and no deliveries or charges will be recorded.
    • Also, when payments in advance are calculated, no advance charges will be calculated for days that are listed as holidays.
    • Currently, weekends are ignored so there is no need to enter Saturdays or Sundays as holidays.
