MealsOnDisk 2.11 Changes

  • Special Meal and Allergies on the Client form have been replaced with a Notes textbox.
  • Special Meal and Allergies have been removed from the Client form. These fields were not particularly useful as MealsOnDisk was not able to interpret the information entered. They have been replaced with Ingredient Restrictions (see below) and Meal Preparation requests (see v2.12 changes). Any data that had been entered is added to the Notes textbox and is still visible on the client form. The data transferred to the Notes textbox can be used to set up the Ingredient Restrictions (see below). The Notes textbox can also be used to store any other information about the clients.

  • Ingredient Restrictions can now be handled.
    • A list of meal ingredients can be entered.
    • It is possible to specify if there are any ingredients a client does not want.
    • For each meal item, it is possible to specify the ingredients that are "usually" used in that item.
    • Each delivery day, you can specify the ingredients in each meal item. The usual ingredients will be shown for each item but these can be changed for that delivery day. For example, the hot meal may normally include peas, but on this particular day there are beans instead.
    • When the deliveries are processed, MealsOnDisk will determine those clients who are receiving meals that include ingredients that need to be restricted.
    • In this version there is a report showing the restrictions, however this is improved in v2.12.
    • It is not necessary to add all possible ingredients - only those that are need to be restricted for some clients.

  • Meal Items can now be re-ordered using drag and drop
  • Fixed a problem where an error was shown when adding Volunteers
