MealsOnDisk 2.12 Changes
Meals Preparations can now be handled.
A list of meal preparations can be entered. These would typcially include different ways in which a meal can be prepared or processed, such as "diced", "pureed" etc.
It is possible to specify which preparations a client has requested.
For each meal item, it is possible to specify the preparations which are available for that particular meal item. For example, a Hot Meal may be available "diced" or "pureed" but it does not make sense to offer these preparations for "Orange Juice".
When the deliveries are processed, MealsOnDisk will determine those clients who have requested meals to be specially prepared, and which meal items are available to be prepared that way.
Meal Descriptions have been changed to identify Restricted Ingredients and Meal Preparations
Meal Descriptions are shown on Delivery List and Label reports, as well as the Client Delivery History report and form.
Meal Descriptions list all the meal items that need to be delivered to the client
If a meal item includes an ingredient that is restricted for one of the clients, or if the client has request a meal preparation that is available for that meal item, an asterisk (*) will be shown after that meal item. The asterisk indicates that the meal item is non-standard.
An extra label will be printed for each non-standard meal item. The extra label will be in a similar format but will include a list of restricted ingredients and requested preparations for that meal item. The extra label has some grey shading to make it stand out.
Kitchen List reports now include a section at the end of the report listing all meal items for clients with restricted ingredients and requested preparations. This report can assist in the planning and preparation of meals.
