- MealsOnDisk User Guide is now available.
You can now download a User Guide for MealsOnDisk.
The User Guide is specifically for v2.13 and will be updated with future versions.
- Client photos can be displayed.
You can now load a photo into MealsOnDisk for any or all of your clients.
Any image file on your computer can be selected, and will appear on the client window.
You may choose to include a picture of the client, their house or anything else that may be useful.
Volunteer photos may be included in a future version.
Please let us know if you would find volunteer photos useful.
- Meal service logos can be shown on all reports
On the Options windows, you now select an image or photo that will appear on the top left hand corner of most reports.
You can select any image file from your computer to be used., but typically, you would use a logo for your own meal service.
If you do not select a service logo, no image will be shown on that area of the reports.
- A Client List report has been added
This report lists all active clients in alphabetical order.
It includes their name, address and Start Date.
- A Volunteer List report has been added
This report lists all active volunteers in alphabetical order.
It includes their name, address and Start Date.
- Additional Diet Restriction details are provided on the Kitchen List reports
To assist in the preparation of meals,
more information about Dietary Restrictions has been included on these reports.
- A Database Maintenance function has been included.
The Database Maintenance function will help keep the MealsOnDisk database running efficiently.
The function performs a database consistency check and then rebuilds all indexes to improve performance.
This should be run every month or if MealsOnDisk seems to be running slower.
Depending on the size of your database and the speed of your computer,
Database Maintenance may take 5 or 10 minutes to compete.
- Added a cancel option when exiting from MealsOnDisk
When exiting from MealsOnDisk there is an option to create a database backup file.
You can select Yes or No.
A third button has been added to Cancel, meaning that you don't want to exit.
This is useful if you accidentally click on the button to exit.
- The Tools->Maintenance menu has been renamed Tools->Setup to avoid confusion with database maintenance.
- The Run window has been changed to make it simpler to enter a new run with a distance of 0.0 km.
- The two Statistics reports have been updated to work when Meal Item prices are zero.
These reports are useful for checking MDS reporting information.
However, no information was displayed when Meal Item prices where zero.
This has been corrected so that that all Meal Items with NrMeals greater than zero will be included.
This makes the Statistics report consistent with the way the MDS Report has always operated.
- Some performance improvements have been made.
These improvements, together with the use of the Database Maintenance function,
should improve the performance of the Payments and Adjustments windows,
as well as the display of the Client window when MealsOnDisk is first started.
